In three days, I'm leaving for my trip. On Sunday, I'm packing, on Monday, I'm going to Orange County to see my son and stay overnight, and on Tuesday, we're flying out together.
In the meantime, here are some music videos for you to watch. Can you guess what city the songs are about? Lol. I'll bet you can.

San Francisco Again
One more week before my Frisco trip! I’m trying to wrap up a book before I leave, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get it done. I have about sixty-five pages to go, and I just don’t write that fast. But I’ll finish it when I get back. I’ll still meet my deadline.
If you live in the Bay Area or will be vacationing there, please come visit me at the book signing. It’s on July 30th at the San Francisco Marriott on 4th St., from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. You can purchase books at the signing or bring copies you already own. THE ART OF DESIRE will be for sale, and I’ll be signing as Cherie Feather, but if you bring some of my Sheri WhiteFeather books, I’d love to sign those, too.

San Francisco Trip

On July 29th, I’m headed to San Francisco for the Romance Writer’s of America 28th annual conference. I’m bringing Nikki, my son, with me. When he was younger, he traveled to other RWA conferences with me. In between my commitments, we sightsee and enjoy whatever city we’re in.
On this trip, we’re going to look at areas for Nikki to live. He plans on moving to Frisco in the fall, so this conference is well timed. Of course we’re going to shop and eat and behave like tourists, too. I promise to take lots of pictures.
Also, I’ll be signing (as Cherie Feather) at the “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing on Wednesday, July 30th. Some of my fave authors are on the list, including Nora Roberts, JoAnn Ross, Sharon Sala, Heather Graham and Suzanne Brockman.

Art of Desire Praise
Kelley Nyrae, a fellow romance writer, emailed me today and told me how much she loved THE ART OF DESIRE and how much the book touched her. Needless to say, her letter touched me, as well.
She also blogged about THE ART OF DESIRE. Here's a link to her blog

Summer Dog Days

This is Colt (French bulldog) and Sage (Border collie/Queensland heeler) having a game of tug-of-war with a Frisbee. It's blazing hot where we live, but they still insist on playing. When the sun starts to set, I take them outside and the doggie antics begin.
I throw the Frisbee, Sage chases it and Colt chases her. Then Sage catches the Frisbee and they fight over it until Sage eventually gets control and brings it back to me. Only to do it all over again...
About a hundred times.

American Idol on the Phone
No, it wasn’t Simon or Paula or Randy me calling me, “Dawg.” It was my sister, Elaine, calling me from the American Idol concert in Portland, Oregon, when David Cook was singing. She held up her cell, hoping I could hear him.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t. But it was cute just the same. Yes, we are a couple of middle-age women with teenage-type crushes on David Cook.

Killer Passion Reviews
KILLER PASSION received 4 stars from Romantic Times, but I haven't seen the review yet. In the meantime, I've been receiving emails from readers who loved it!
Here's a portion of a review that was posted on Harlequin's website by a reader named Amanda.
"This book is very, very steamy!! This could have easily been a Blaze book. I loved the fact that both were "wounded" - she from a cheating husband and subsequent divorce, and him from the murder of his wife. Both pull at the heart and makes you root for them."

Vintage Clothes
Do you like to shop in vintage and thrift stores? It's one of my hobbies. Recently I found some fun stuff at a store in my area. Among other things, I got a black, beautifully beaded Oleg Cassini top. It's in perfect condition and was only $35.00!
For those of you who don't remember Oleg Cassini, he shot to international stardom when he designed Jacqueline Kennedy's state wardrobe. Prior to that, he designed costumes for Paramount Pictures.
I plan to wear the top at an upcoming writer’s conference in San Francisco. But more about Frisco later...
