Quickie Vacation
I'm taking a spur of the moment trip to San Francisco with a friend. I'll be gone from Dec. 2nd to Dec. 6th. We're going to run around, enjoy the city and visit my son. Hopefully I'll have lots of fun pics when I get back.

Romance Today
I’m one of the authors featured in a book called ROMANCE TODAY--An A-to-Z Guide to Contemporary American Romance Writers, and I’m honored and privileged to be part of it.
I plan to buy the book. It’s a bit costly, though. The discount price is $68.00. Still, I think it will be fascinating to read about all of the authors who are featured. I’m curious to read my feature, too. I approved it at the time it was written, but I can't recall the details. If you’re interested in the book click here for the link

Sheri or Cherie????
I sold two more erotic romances to Berkley Heat! I’m not sure about release dates yet, but I think they’re going to be released under Sheri WhiteFeather instead of Cherie Feather. I'll let you know when the time gets closer. But no matter what name I use, I’m thrilled about this sale and look forward to writing the books.
Don’t forget that SUBMISSION is coming out in Feb. 2009 and it’s a Cherie Feather book.

It's available now for preorder on Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Click here for the links

Contest Winner!
Thank you to everyone who entered. A reader from Connecticut won the FOREVER MY LADY contest.
I read FOREVER MY LADY and loved it. I thought it was a beautifully written, realistic portrayal of a teenage couple who battled the streets. Dio was a tough yet sensitive young man, aware of other people’s feelings. I would love for Jeff to write a sequel so I can see how the rest of Dio’s life turns out. He stayed on my mind long after I finished the book. To me, this could have been marketed as a young adult novel as well as an urban love story.

Forever My Lady Contest!

If you like to enter the contest to win a copy of FOREVER MY LADY by Jeff Rivera, send an e-mail to CherieContest@gmail.com and include your name and mailing address. The winner will be drawn at random and Jeff will send the book directly to the winner.
The contest will run from November 3rd to November 8th. The winner will be announced on Sunday, November 9th.
A Romantic Man

Once homeless and living in his car, award-winning novelist Jeff Rivera writes passionate stories of those often forgotten and neglected by society. He believes even in the eyes of a gang member, even beneath the soiled clothes of a bag lady or behind the tears of a lonely kid in the back of the class, there lies a common thread that links us all, the universal human story. He has made it his personal mission to help change the way the world thinks in a positive way through his stories. Mr. Rivera currently lives in Miami, Florida. Adopted by his Filipino stepfather when he was seven years old, his ethnic background is Black American and Native American. His debut novel, FOREVER MY LADY, is in bookstores now.
Forever My Lady is definitely a love story. How does it feel to be a guy that writes about love?
I think it's a natural thing for me. I love love, quite frankly. And I think girls would be surprised at the number of guys out there that are big fans of not only the genre but love love in life as well.
What do you enjoy reading?
I love reading Nicholas Sparks, I love Michael Crichton style books and anything spiritual and self-help catches my interest too.
If people were to meet you on the street how would they describe you?
I think they would say I'm a nice guy. I'm usually smiling. My friends say I'm sensitive, strong-willed, determined and probably funny cause I'm always joking around.
Were you the youngest, the middle or the oldest in your family? And how did this affect you?
I had a chance to be all three actually, but I'm the Jan Brady of the family. I think it affected me because I was the "good child" and that put a lot of pressure on me to fall within that expected label and also there were some jealousy issues between my siblings. I also totally rebelled once I got out of the house and went buck wild for a few years. Good times ... Good times ...
Where can we pick up a copy of Forever My Lady?
You can get a copy at: JeffRivera.com , Amazon.com or bookstores everywhere...
