Today I received a wonderful letter from a reader in Angola-Africa who read the Portuguese edition of The Art of Desire. She told me how beautiful she thought the story was and how real the characters were to her. In honor of her letter, I posted the cover of the Portuguese edition.

I just finished Art of Desire. I read a lot of chick lit & erotica. I have many favourite authors but this book is in a class by itself. It was the most touching, wonderful book I've ever read. I loved all the characters, the meanings of different flowers and all the folklore. Your language & phrasing was so touching (expressions like "He was already paying, sitting here with his heart twisted around his male appendage"). This book literally took my breath away.

Your use of "male appendage" makes me smile. We both know that wasn't the word I used in the book.

That was before I "knew" you. Next time I won't be so shy. I don't know why I hesitated. You already used the right word & the sentence had more impact with the original word. Now that we're "old friends" I don't have to hold back. Now you're in trouble LOL.
Lol. I totally understand. I rarely speak the way I write. I'm not innocent by any means, but I don't say all those words, at least not as freely as I use them in books. Goodness, can you imagine?.
So, am I still in trouble? :)
